Artist Statement
My creative practice is an intimate exploration of identity, memory, and the silent dialogues of the self. Working primarily with oil on canvas and colored pencil on paper, I navigate the fragile boundaries between who we are in solitude and the personas we project to the world.
My latest work, In Search of a Dream, delves deeply into the quest for self-discovery. The tactile precision of colored pencils allows me to capture psychological nuances and delicate textures, while the rich, atmospheric layering of oil paint brings emotional depth and timeless resonance to the canvas.
I do not seek to provide definitive answers, but rather to invite the viewer into a contemplative space. Each portrait is a mirror reflecting the universal journey of shedding illusions, confronting inner reflections, and ultimately stepping closer to our true essence.
In the Studio
I am a visual artist based in Tehran-Iran . I work primarily with oil on canvas and colored pencil on paper, creating figurative works that explore identity, self-discovery, and the complex inner lives of people.
I pay close attention to gesture, expression, and the emotional relationships between figures. Through carefully composed scenes and subtle shifts in mood, I give form to questions that can be difficult to express directly: how we understand ourselves, how we appear to others, and what it means to search for a more authentic sense of self.
In works such as In Search of a Dream, I use masks and multiple figures as visual elements in a personal exploration of self-discovery. Rather than offering a fixed interpretation, I invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences of identity, change, and belonging.
